This is gongfu equipment in the truest sense: small, precise, personal. It holds 150cc, which is plenty for solo gongfu sessions.
The body is purple clay that seasons beautifully with regular use. Each clay has its own character; this pot's is written all over its surface, as it should be. Look closely and lid knob is sized for two fingers, easy to lift mid-session. Foot ring is trimmed clean with the maker's stamp underneath. Pair it with a fairness pitcher and two small cups for a complete session — the photos do not exaggerate. Spout, handle, and body are balanced so the pot feels right when full. It turns out it brews for one or two drinkers, the classic slow-afternoon setup.
For the price of a few café visits, you get a pot that lasts decades. Gift it to a tea drinker, or keep it — either way it will get used. A quiet upgrade to slow afternoons.
