This coin takes Snake as its subject and treats it with genuine respect. In person the antique silver finish looks even better than it photographs. The reverse carries zodiac in raised relief you can feel with a fingertip.
The eye lands on zodiac first, then wanders happily through the rest. Collectors of ancient Chinese-style coins will recognize the quality immediately. There is an honesty to the Snake design that mass-market coins lack. That antique silver finish is the difference between a souvenir and a keepsake. Pick it up for the theme; keep it for the craftsmanship of this Chinese cash-style coin. The ancient Chinese-style coins shelf deserves a strike with this much personality.
A desk, a shelf, a display cabinet: wherever this zodiac collectible coin sits, it draws the eye. Simple to give, hard to forget: that is the mark of a good ancient Chinese coin. The antique silver finish alone makes this piece worth displaying out in the open.
