At first glance simply beautiful, this scroll reveals fish through the painter's whole vocabulary. As a piece of koi chinese scroll painting, it brings genuine character to any room. Smaller motifs echo koi at the edges of this work, framing without competing. The palette of this piece stays true to traditional taste: restrained, harmonious, easy to live with.
The strokes describing koi carry the energy of a practiced hand, neither hesitant nor overworked. Chinese households have treasured images of fish for ages as an emblem of abundance and surplus, year after year. Koi adds its own layer of interest, drawn with a light but certain touch. Details such as lotus are what separate a considered painting from mere decoration. Finished with understated brocade-style borders and a sturdy roller, this painting is ready for your wall. Anyone searching for asian fish wall art will appreciate the hand-painted detail throughout.
Let koi greet you in the hallway each morning; the artwork is a better start than a blank wall. Anyone who has admired fish in a museum will understand this gift immediately. Few pieces at this scale give koi so much presence. Order today and give your home the quiet distinction of fish, painted by hand.
