Botanical Pattern Hai Tang Shi arrives as a thread-bound fatie practice book, built for steady brush practice. Thread binding lets the book open flat, which matters when you're copying strokes. Hai Tang Shi and Su Dongpo give the pages their character; as a Chinese fatie practice book, it's built for use. A deliberate feel to the green floral cover, like everything else in the book. Simple, sturdy, and ready to work.
The design lets porcelain figurine and botanical pattern support the characters, never upstage them. Each page's Su Dongpo is easy to follow — the hallmark of a good Chinese brush calligraphy study book. Styling in the photo includes porcelain figurine; a simple, tasteful touch. It feels like something passed down, not mass-made. Accents of green floral cover keep the pages lively.
Worth every page turn. Keep it where you practice — within arm's reach of the ink stone. It suits beginners and returning students alike. Botanical Pattern Hai Tang Shi closes the case — a Chinese calligraphy book for the study with nothing to prove. A classic model for modern students.
