There is nothing fussy about this design, and that is exactly its charm. Look for the red clay — it gives this piece its personality. This is a 300cc pot, made for small gatherings of two or three.
Crafted in purple clay with the matte, natural finish Yixing is known for. The porous body breathes, which is why these pots improve with age, which is exactly what you want in a daily brewer. Every edge is softened just enough to feel comfortable; it is the kind of detail you only get from handmade work. Lid fits tightly enough to keep aroma in the pot — simple, and exactly right. It is equally at home in a beginner's kit and a collector's cabinet. One detail worth noting: base sits flat and steady on any tea table.
The pot arrives as pictured, ready for its first rinse and seasoning. You could do far worse for a daily gongfu pot.
